Biography

Sally is a freelance journalist based in the UK, writing for a range of magazines and websites. She provides training services to PRs in how to pitch the media more effectively, and is an experienced copywriter and PR consultant.

Sally’s first blog was Getting Ink, where she writes about journalism, PR and social media. Sally then set up Getting Ink Requests, the first blog to distribute free media requests to businesses and PR agencies from print, online and broadcast journalists – more than 5,000 people now receive Getting Ink Requests each day using email, RSS or Twitter.

In 2009, Sally set up Who’s the Mummy, a blog about bad parenting and weird kids. It’s based on her experiences as a single parent to the lovely Flea. Who’s the Mummy also provides a home to Sally’s Top 100 Parent Blogs index, which tracks the UK Mummy blogging scene.

Sally edits the Great Toy Guide, a brand new blog where some of the UK’s best and brightest Mummy bloggers provide honest, independent reviews of toys and accessories for children aged 0-8.
