Why sensitive types should never be journos
Nice idea from strumpette - get a copy journalist to sub the copy posted by a PR 'communications' expert.
Bit mean, but very funny. And nothing that isn't depressingly familiar to many a jobbing journo, particularly those in the early stages of their career.

Who did they get to do the subbing? I can agree with most of the proposed changes, although I didn't read them all. But saying things like
1) "(WHY THE PASSIVE VOICE?)" in reference to "a serious newspaper is grappling", when that's actively voiced present continuous tense, or
2) "(AS A PROFESSIONAL WRITER LIKE YOU SHOULD KNOW, “WHOM” REFERS TO THE OBJECT OF THE SENTENCE, AND GENERALLY REQUIRES A PREPOSITION.)" when she correctly used "whom" - the subject of the clause was "many of you" not Raju Narisetti as this implies
doesn't suggest someone who should be throwing stones himself.

Rob, thanks for the comment - and congratulations on remembering what the active present continuous tense is - something I learned one tuesday morning in my English Language class in the first year of uni, and had forgotten by the time I hit the union bar for my jacket spud at lunchtime...
